This is it, fiendish folks! Our first Toolshed giveaway! I have (courtesy of Random House Publishing) one copy of The Dead Path by Stephen M. Irwin free to the winner of The Toolshed's Cinema Fave Gush contest.
I have not, as of yet, recieved a reviewers copy but the publicist's info sheet describes The Dead Path thusly:

ReplyDeleteI will always have to go with "The Exorcist". Nothing's scarier than a girl violating herself with a crucifix, right? I always loved the subtle terror (glimpses of faces in the shadows, etc.), seemed like everytime I watched it, I found something I never noticed before.
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with "The Exorcist" also. Althought it is very much a mainstream horror movie, it is classic. It's the music, the priest, the shadows, the alley. Also, many "horror" movies are not scary but entertaining. The Exorcist is just realistic enough to scare the shit out of you.
ReplyDeleteHalloween (1978): Scared me as a child and still scares me as an adult. Virtually bloodless, but still brutal without sacrificing suspense.
